Quick distinctions
Foil vs. digital foil
Foil stamping is die-based and shines across many stocks; digital foil is better for short runs or variable art.
Emboss vs. letterpress
Embossing changes the sheet's dimension; letterpress prints ink into the sheet with a visible impression.
Diecut vs. kisscut
Diecutting cuts the piece shape; kisscutting cuts the face layer while leaving a backing sheet intact.
