FAQ
Common questions about projects, process, and what to send us — useful whether you're a designer sending finished files or just starting to think about a piece.
What kinds of files do you need?
For finishing work, we need vector artwork (PDF preferred — also AI or EPS) with each finishing technique on its own layer or as a separate file. For foil stamping, that means the foil-only area as a 100% black solid; same for emboss, deboss, and diecut layers. We'll send you a quick-reference spec sheet when you start a project if you don't already have one.
What's the minimum order quantity?
There isn't one. We routinely handle small runs — a hundred cards, a few hundred invitations — alongside larger orders in the thousands or tens of thousands. Send us the specs and we'll quote it.
How long does a typical project take?
Standard turnaround is 3–4 business days from approved proof to pick-up or shipping, depending on the work. Rush turnarounds are possible — let us know your deadline and we'll work it out.
Do you handle the printing too?
Yes. We print in-house with capacity for runs from a few hundred up through commercial-scale orders, and we handle finishing on the same job so the piece moves through one shop start to finish.
Can you help with design?
Yes — we have designers on staff who can take on design work alongside the finishing. Useful when a client comes to you with an idea but not a finished file, or when a piece needs adjustments to print and finish cleanly.
What if my project needs something you don't do?
We've been in this business since 1989, so we know which vendors do what well. If a project needs something outside our shop, we can usually coordinate it for you so you're working with one point of contact instead of three.
